Almond Milk
¾ - 1 cup raw almonds*
3-4 cups purified water
1 Tbsp. raw honey or pure maple syrup
½ tsp. pure vanilla extract
Blend completely, using only 3 cups of water at first. Pour the mixture through an old, thin cotton t-shirt, reserving the pureed leftovers for nuts in any other recipe. Add the additional cup of water, if desired. Adjust sweetness.
*I prefer to soak my almonds 6-8 hours for the health benefits of sprouting. Start with the original amount of nuts above, though the sprouted almonds will be much bigger. Drain off the water you soak the nuts in before proceeding with the recipe.
