Homemade Chocolate Syrup

Chocolate Syrup

1 cup cocoa powder
1 ½ cups sugar
1 dash salt
1 ½ cups water
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Stir together all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.  Once it begins to boil, stir constantly for up to 5 minutes, until the sauce begins to thicken.  Let cool, then store in the fridge.  It will continue to thicken after setting.
